Dear Supporters, 5 1/2 years ago I began to send packages to Marines in some of the most remote locations in Iraq and Afghanistan living without "luxuries" such as running water, indoor plumbing, mess halls or even PX's from which to purchase day to day items
In a sport where people pay thousands of dollars for the lightest gear and most hi tech equipment, I've amassed over 3000 train and race miles and crossed my 51st finish line this year all while wearing regulation Marine Corps Field Gear. I'm looking to make 2011 even more special by endeavoring upon a race season to include 300 miles of running, biking and swimming What began in 2008 as a one time thank to our heroes has turned into an incredible journey to honor our heroes in the Middle East, raise awareness of all of they endure and, of course raise money to send them stuff.
5 1/2 years and over 5000 packages to more than 200 Marine contacts later...we continue on. Support our Marines ships out 40 plus packages a month to our heroes and our shipping expenses alone take up 1/2 of our relatively small $25,000 annual needs. The rest of money used for requested items not donated, pictures and cards.

There are several ways you can help and, thanks to our Partners at The Marine Corps League, Det 57, all donations are TAX DEDUCTIBLE
A) All donations are gratefully accepted but for a minimum of a $50.00 annual donation, athletic supporters (small pun intended) can become "Tri ing To Raise Money For Our Grunts" member which will include a " Team Tri ing To Raise Money For Our grunts Supporter " T Shirt with our Team logo on the front
B) Athletes can become a TTRMFOG member for an annual membership fee of $75 which will include a "Team Tri ing To Raise Money For Our Grunts" Shirt and a commitment to do one race this year as a fundraiser for SOM
