Tritium Illumination
Tritium is a natural isotope that was first discovered in 1934 by Ernest Rutherford, Paul Harteck and ML Oliphant. Since its discovery, it has been mainly
manufactured for industrial purposes. One of the main uses of tritium is self-activated lighting using tritium gas in small glass vials. The vials are coated
with a very thin layer of phosphorescent powder. The powder allows the energy created by the long-lasting tritium gas to be converted into light. The color
of the powder coating is what determines the color of the light. One of the most popular uses hour and minute hands that consist of these small and safe
Swiss mb-microtec tritium gas vials. One of the biggest advantages of tritium gas vials as markers on watches is that they remain continuously illuminated
for over 20 years. This means the markers don't require a battery or push of a button.





Shatterproof High-Impact-Resistant Glass
One of the most common repair services performed on watches is the replacement of shattered crystals. Even a very minor impact can destroy the crystal
on most watches. ArmourLite found a solution to this common problem by working directly with a specialty glass manufacturer that produces shatterproof
high-impact-resistant glass for other applications. The manufacturer was able to come up with a unique way to modify existing glass technology to work
result, with an ArmourLite watch you never have to worry about a shattered crystal again. We must note that shatterproof glass is not the same as
bulletproof glass. Our watches are not designed to stop a bullet.
